L’Ambassade informe que le Ministère des Affaires étrangères et de la Coopération internationale a publié trois appels à candidatures destinés aux scientifiques menant des activités de recherche significatives présentant un intérêt bilatéral. La collecte des candidatures est désormais ouverte pour la neuvième édition du « Premio Farnesina », qui sera décerné à un chercheur italien s’étant distingué à l’étranger par ses mérites scientifiques exceptionnels, ainsi que pour le prix « L’innovazione che parla italiano », dédié aux startups, et pour la quatrième édition du prix « Science, She Says! ».   1. « Premio Farnesina – Italian bilateral scientific cooperation award » : ce prix vise à récompenser l’activité de jeunes scientifiques italiens qui se sont distingués au Sénégal, en Gambie, en Guinée-Bissau et au Cap-Vert pour leur contribution au développement de la coopération scientifique bilatérale dans tous les domaines de la science et de la technologie. Les candidatures doivent être soumises avant le 23 septembre 2026. Au moment du dépôt de leur candidature, les candidats doivent exercer leur activité dans l’un des pays susmentionnés.   2. Prix « L’innovazione che parla italiano » : ce prix vise à récompenser la forte valeur innovante de startups technologiques fondées par des citoyens italiens et opérant au Sénégal, en Gambie, en Guinée-Bissau et au Cap-Vert. Les candidatures doivent être soumises avant le 23 septembre 2026. Les startups doivent être actives dans l’un des pays susmentionnés au moment du dépôt de leur candidature.   3. Prix « Science, She Says! » : ce prix vise à récompenser les mérites de jeunes femmes scientifiques ayant mené leurs activités de recherche au cours des quatre dernières années en Afrique et au Moyen-Orient. Les candidatures de citoyennes italiennes ne sont pas admises. Les candidatures doivent être soumises avant le 20 septembre 2026. The Embassy announces that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has published three calls for applications dedicated to scientists carrying out significant research activities of bilateral interest. Applications are now open for the ninth edition of the “Premio Farnesina”, to be awarded to an Italian researcher who has distinguished themselves abroad through outstanding scientific achievements, as well as for the “L’innovazione che parla italiano” award dedicated to startups, and for the fourth edition of the “Science, She Says!” award. Full information and the relevant calls for applications are provided below:

  1. “Premio Farnesina – Italian bilateral scientific cooperation award”: this award aims to recognize the work of young Italian scientists who have distinguished themselves in Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau and Cabo Verde for their contribution to advancing bilateral scientific cooperation in any field of science and technology. Applications must be submitted by 23 September 2026. At the time of submitting their application, candidates must be active in one of the above-mentioned countries.   2. “L’innovazione che parla italiano” Award: this award aims to recognize the high innovative value of technology startups founded by Italian citizens operating in Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau and Cabo Verde. Applications must be submitted by 23 September 2026. Startups must be active in one of the above-mentioned countries at the time of submitting their application.   3. “Science, She Says!” Award: this award aims to recognize the achievements of young women scientists who have carried out their research activities over the past four years in Africa and the Middle East. Applications from Italian citizens are not eligible. Applications must be submitted by 20 September 2026.
